2020 LC 500: What's New
Anyone that has driven the Lexus LC 500 can agree that the high performance Lexus coupe is more than a car. It’s a feeling. Obsessively crafted, no stone was left unturned in the design and engineering of the LC. And, with technology updates made available since release, we couldn’t imagine what else Lexus could “update” for the incoming 2020 model – until now. For 2020, the LC receives select updates and added equipment, further enhancing its seductive blend of style and performance. Let’s explore what’s new on the 2020 LC 500 now.
2020 LC Updates
- Performance: Accelerator control characteristics in Normal drive mode have been updated to smooth out initial acceleration from the first press of the pedal, achieving a more linear acceleration feel on the LC 500.
- Exterior: Flare Yellow (color code 5C1) is now available and is considered a “Premium Paint” – the Inspiration Series was an obvious hit, making this bold color a new color option for 2020. The new Flare Yellow exterior color will be available with either the Black or Toasted Caramel interior option (Bespoke White was a special interior reserved for the 2019 LC Inspiration Series, in case you’re wondering).
- Safety and Security: Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) with Lane Change Assist are now standard. Reverse warning buzzer has been updated from an intermittent sound to a single tonal sound (always helpful… no denting up the LC!) Finally, the Loose Fuel Cap warning has been added to the multi-information display (MID)
- Packages and Options: Intuitive Parking Assist (PA) is now a stand alone option (but it is also one of those “standard” added options so you will see this feature on almost every LC built for sale in our area). The Convenience Package (CQ) has been discontinued.
