2020 Lexus NX: What's New

The Lexus NX has been ahead of the curve for at least a year or two and has been the go-to model for debuting new tech and connected services within the Lexus model line-up. With the Lexus NX being one of the first models to come with Wi-Fi and one of only a handful of Lexus models currently offering Apple CarPlay, our curiosity was sparked when the first 2020 NX arrived at North Park Lexus Dominion. What could possibly be “new” for the 2020 model year?

Walking around the 2020 NX, we asked: what, if anything, could be “new” on the 2020 NX when we had already seen such exciting updates for 2018, followed shortly by even more tech for 2019 NX? Much to our surprise and delight, Lexus has done it again and will debut a new exterior and interior color, an updated color scheme and an expanded list of standard equipment for 2020.

The 2020 NX has arrived giving the Lexus sales team that pesky yet familiar new car bug and, with truck-loads of 2020 models currently on the way to our San Antonio dealership, it is only a matter of time for the bug to spread. Watch out Lexus drivers of South Texas, the 2020 models are here…

What’s New for 2020 NX

Exterior

  • Cadmium Orange (color code 4Y1) now available
  • Autumn Shimmer(color code 4X2) and Silver Lining Metallic (color code 1J4) discontinued for 2020 model year

Interior

  • Power-tilt-and-telescoping steering column now standard (yay!)
  • Color scheme updated for Rioja Red interior (can’t wait to see this one in person!)
  • White NuLuxe (05 interior color code) now available for F SPORT models

Safety and Security

  • Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is now standard and includes enhancements to the already advanced LSS+ such as: Pre-Collision System with Daytime and low-light pedestrian detection and daytime bicyclist detection, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Road Sign Assist (RSA) and Intelligent High Beams
  • New Active Cornering Assist (ACA)
