Apple CarPlay Upgrade Available Now

Lexus has finally released the multimedia software enhancement that will give some of the newer 2018 – 2019 Lexus models Apple CarPlay compatibility and Amazon Alexa integration. This Lexus multimedia update is only available by dealership installation so give us a call at 210-816-5000 to schedule your software update at The Service Center at Lexus Dominion or click here to schedule your appointment online.

It is important to know, that this multimedia software update for Apple CarPlay compatibility and Amazon Alexa integration will only be available on the following models and model years (at least at this time). Check if your Lexus makes the list for eligible models here.

Eligible Vehicles for Multimedia Software Enhancement

2019 Lexus ES without navigation will be eligible for Apple CarPlay update.
2019 Lexus ES without navigation will get the multimedia update if built between June – September 2018.
  • 2018 LC
  • 2018 LS
  • 2018 NX
  • 2018 RC
  • 2018 RC F
  • 2019 NX (Built between May – September 2018)
  • 2019 RC F (Built between May – September 2018)
  • 2019 ES (Non-Navigation multimedia system built between June – September 2018 – or anyone that bought a non-navigation ES before October production)

The lucky Lexus owners who have these eligible models should receive an email from Lexus notifying them of the update soon. These emails will run May 15th through the Summer but you can set up a time to get the update at North Park Lexus at Dominion whenever you’re ready!
